11-15-11 The pump has been turned off for the year. The pump is operated by Garner Lake Association with funds from donations to the pump fund, supplemented by annual dues. It costs about $100 a day to run the pump. GLA ran the pump for 51 days this summer, at a cost of just over $5000, which kept the lake approximately 8 inches higher than it would have been otherwise. All of the pump fund was spent. Donations to the fund are always welcome and are used ONLY to run the pump.
